Portrait artwork selected for large public art display on Portobello Pavilion in the 'blog Section'
I entered my artwork into the Portobello Pavilion competition entitled ‘Liberty’.
It was aimed at 16-25 year old local artists, and a chance to have their work printed and displayed in large format.
I chose a piece I had drawn last year – based on a real person my character has alopecia and I wanted him to be seen, made normal, so I merged the drawing with layers of photos from Portobello. I changed the design detail on his shirt to the word “Liberty” to suggest just that.
